Checkout This Web Based App By Google That Turns Your UGLY DOODLES INTO ART !

In order to bring out  your inner Picasso, Google launched AutoDraw, a web-based tool that uses machine learning to transform your doodles into art. Simply visit the web application on your phone, computer, or tablet and select the "Start Drawing" button. There you can select the Autodraw pen and draw your version of anything. In my case, I was trying to draw a smartphone:
The Google Autodraw starts guessing what you are trying to draw with suggestions you can see above.

Once you click on one of the suggestions, it automatically replaces your lower art work with something better.

As TNW pointed out, it's like a robot trying to play Pictionary.

By the way, your result can be exported as a PNG file for use in your projects, which is also cool.

Enjoy!

" Apple Is No Longer a Top Brand " - LaptopMag

Everyone is not aware that one of the main reasons why people buy a MacBook is for the benefits of lifestyle and brand power that Apple brings. Well, that could soon be a thing of the past, at least if LaptopMag has a say. According to them, Apple fell, they went from number one (they held since 2013) directly to number 5, yeah, number 5!

To reach this level, LaptopMag measured the brand's performance in areas such as customer support, design quality, innovation and price. They also justified their assessment by saying that the MacBooks showed average performance, not on par with their price.

Lider the pack is Lenovo and not far from Asus, Dell and HP.

NCC Halts Data Price Increase!!!

With a victorious protest, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has disclosed the immediate suspension of the proposed data price increase scheduled to take effect from the 1st of December, 2016.

According to reliable sources, NCC claims that the new decision is to allow for further consultation.
I guess the public outcry, as well as the speedy intervention from the Nigerian senate, helped NCC see things in a clear light!

Here is a statement from an NCC official :

"Following the concerns that visited the directive to introduce price floor for data segment of the telecommunications sector beginning from December 1, 2016, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has suspended any further action in that direction."

"The decision to suspend this directive was taken after due consultation with industry stakeholders and the general complaints by Consumers across the country."

"The Commission has weighed all of this and consequently asked all operators to maintain the status quo until the conclusion of study to determine retail prices for broadband and data services in Nigeria."

"Recall that the Commission wrote to the Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) on November 1, 2016 on the determination of an interim price floor for data services after the stakeholder’s consultative meeting of October 19, 2016."

"The decision to have a price floor was primarily to promote a level playing field for all operators in the industry, encourage small operators and new entrants."

"The price floor in 2014 was N3.11k/MB but was removed in 2015. The price floor that was supposed to flag off on December 1, 2016 was N0.90k/MB."

"In taking that decision, the smaller operators were exempted from the new price regime, by virtue of their small market share. The decision on the price floor was taken in order to protect the consumers who are at the receiving end and save the smaller operators from predatory services that are likely to suffocate them and push them into extinction."

"The price floor is not an increase in price but a regulatory safeguard put in place by the telecommunications regulator to check anti-competitive practices by dominant operators."

"This statement clarifies the insinuation in some quarters that the regulator has fixed prices for data services. This is not true because the NCC does not fix prices but provides regulatory guidelines to protect the consumers, deepen investments and safeguard the industry from imminent collapse."

"Before the new suspended price floor of N0.90k/MB, the industry average for dominant operators including MTN Nigeria Communications Limited, EMTS Limited (Etisalat) and Airtel Nigeria Limited was N0.53k/MB.
Etisalat offered (N0.94k/MB), Airtel (N0.52k/MB), MTN (N0.45k/MB) and Globacom (N0.21k/MB)."

"The smaller operators/ new entrants charge the following:
Smile Communications N0.84k/MB,
Spectranet N0.58k/MB and
NATCOMS (NTEL) N0.72k/MB."

"The NCC as a responsive agency of government takes into consideration the feelings of the consumers and so decided to suspend the new price floor."

Telecommunication Companies Turns Down 3min+ Call Tax

Recently, you are aware that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria made a proposal to lift tax on calls more than 3 minutes!

Thank God for WhatsApp that has given us a better alternative if eventually the government implement the 3 minutes after Calls tax. At least all you need to make a good WhatsApp call is a good network, 2G/EDGE, 3G, if you are now on a 4G network, then you are covered.
Rather, we still don’t know what data rate and price will look like until December 1.

But The Association of Telecommunication Companies have kicked against the proposed tax bill by the CBN Governor, saying it is technically and economically wrong. In the words of their spoke man, Teniola, Contrary to the CBN governor’s believe, "it is the poor people who make more calls than the rich."
“So, the proposal is not targeted at the middle or higher class."

“I have not seen any industry where you don’t want people to use your products or services more."

“We want people to be speaking longer,’’ he said.

“It does not make sense, not only technically but economically, to apply that kind of thinking as a tool or solution out of the present economic recession, it is not going to work,’’

“I think we can consider introducing a negligible telecom surcharge to be entirely borne by the initiator of a call in order to protect the poor and vulnerable amongst us."

“ We could structure it to only take effect after the third minute of talk.
“Some analyses have indicated that the government could earn about N100 billion per annum from this alone."

With the way this guys are emphasizing this issue of 3min after call tax, we pray they don't pass it into the bill.

Chai! NCC Has Mandated All Telcos to Increase Data Price Starting From Dec 1st 2016

In such a time like this, this news is not good one for now because the nation is already in recession, implementing this directive will only make Nigerians live a tougher life.

NCC has mandated all GSM Companies to raise data rates beginning from December 1 st 2016.
This is sad, NCC's belief is that this is one of the ways they can generate revenues for the Government. They know that we can’t do without buying data… so they decided to mandate all Telecommunication Companies to increase their data price!

Nigerian Government through its agencies should not make life harder for Nigerians! Don’t let it be a shock that starting from December 1st 2016, N1000 will only get you 500MB of data. The data you normally get 3GB for N1000 before will be gone, into extinction if possible.

Inshort, all MtN users should call 181 self-help service number to listen to this announcement which will take effect from 1 st of December.

This is indeed a heart breaking news for Internet Freaks! GOD will see us through!

It is also testing a Snapchat Stories like feature.

Why You Need To Delete Your Facebook App, And Save 20% Of Your Phone's Battery Life

Some already knew but find it difficult to delete the Facebook application on your phone; Facebook application is the reason behind most of the battery drain issues you experience on your smartphone devices.

Tech World Zone did a recent test of the Facebook application on a Nexus 6P using Metal. The results of the test showed that for an entire week, removing the Facebook app leaves the phone with 20% more battery life each day. In addition to solving the battery drain issue, deleting the app and messenger could also improve the performance of an Android Smartphone.

Take it or leave it, Facebook app will continue to run in the background even when your phone is offline and if you even use an app killer therefore slowing down other applications on your device.
Some people probably left it because of quick notification, quick opening and reply to chat messages but you can always access Facebook mobile site from your browser at least.

A Facebook representative said,
“We have heard reports of a few people encountering speed issues coming from our Android application. We are investigating this and will update you as often as possible. We are focused on keeping on enhancing these issues.”

In other words, Facebook messenger and app, does not only drain your battery but also slow down your phone, and makes it hot unnecessarily.

No comment was made on the battery issue, so instead of looking for what is draining your 3000mAh battery, scroll down to Facebook messenger and app, uninstall the application and save yourself 20% more battery life.
