Choi! Another Samsung Device exploded but this time it’s not the Note 7.

When it rains, it pours. Against the background of the recent exploding Note 7 disaster, another Samsung device has recently exploded – but this time it’s the not the Note 7 but the Galaxy S7 Edge.

An anonymous source working for “one of the big” US wireless carriers claims a customer brought in an S7 Edge that was fatally damaged, saying the phone caught fire while charging.

The incident occurred last week after the S7 owner left the phone to power up overnight, using the genuine charger provided by Samsung.

According to the source, the customer in question received the smartphone two weeks ago as a replacement to his new Note 7 which also ended up in the same scenario.

Anxiously, this isn’t the first time of explosion involving a faulty Galaxy S7.
Last month, a worker in a construction company from Ohio sued Samsung after his S7 device blew up in his pants, causing critical burns and damages to his leg. Also, another S7 owner claimed his phone exploded during an overnight charging.

Despite facing a lot of heat for its recent fire-catching Note 7 fiasco, Samsung still managed to stay afloat in its last quarter. However, another series of explosion of Samsung devices could be a setback that the South Korean technology giant cannot regain its stand from.
