Etisalat Cancels Blackberry Internet Services, Glo, Airtel, And MTN May Also Do The Same

Don't be so happy that Whatsapp extends support for BlackBerry devices till 2017.

This signifies the end of BlackBerry devices. If you are still using your old BlackBerry Smartphone, it is high time to give it to someone else or separate the battery from the phone and keep it in a safe place for future purpose(s).

The first hit that kept BlackBerry unstable was when Whatsapp discontinued support for BlackBerry devices, this purposely affected their market share and caused BlackBerry to 'concur' to pressure by producing her first Android powered device in 2015 called Priv.

However, Priv failed the company, failed the city and failed her customers; hence
T-Mobile , one of the largest retail store in the US have stopped the sale of Blackberry Priv , AT&T one of BlackBerry allies, is also backing out of supporting BlackBerry.

CEO John Chen said in October that the company would quit the smartphone business, which has been on life support for years.

And now, Etisalat have cancelled BlackBerry Internet Services also known as BIS subscriptions.
Here is the message they sent to their BlackBerry subscribers.

“Dear Customer, our BB service will no longer be available. You will continue to enjoy your current subscription till it expires. Thank you for choosing Etisalat”

As expected, MTN , Airtel and Glo may follow this way. If you are still using a BlackBerry Phone , this is a final opportunity to upgrade your device to iPhone or any Android devices now that Black Friday is here where you can get your phone with up to an average discount.

GOD be with you till we meet again!
R.I.P BlackBerry!
